Triple Outputs for Every Task

Get ready for one of the most versatile and compact headlamps NITECORE offers. The NITECORE NU25 headlamp packages three outputs (white/high CRI and red) into an ultra lightweight body you can wear comfortably for hours on end. A primary CREE XP-G2 S3 LED emits up to 360 lumens of light with up to 88 yards throw which can be used for running, cycling, setting up camp and so much more. For up close tasks, reading and photography, there is a secondary high CRI LED which produces a warm 20-lumen beam and renders colors and details better than cool white outputs. Last but not least, the NU25 also features a secondary red LED for preserving night vision, map reading and hunting. There are even three special modes (red caution/SOS/Beacon) for emergencies and signaling!

Easy Dual Switch Controls

Dual switch controls located conveniently on the top of the headlamp control white and red outputs separately and make it easy to switch between all three outputs so you always know what light you're accessing. The NU25 also features a lockout mode to prevent accidental button presses while stored in tight spaces.

Built-in Battery & Charging

The NU25 comes with a built-in 610mAh li-ion battery that offers 30 minutes of runtime on Turbo and up to 160 hours on the lowest setting. Keeping the NU25 is super simple with a built-in micro-USB charging port located on the underside of the unit. Use the included charging cable to plug the light into any USB source and a red indicator light under the control buttons will illuminate. Upon completion, the light will turn green. There's even a battery power indicator so you'll never be caught with low battery again.

phenomenal headlamp January 10, 2018

Nitecore finally released an ideal headlamp for hikers - light, long lasting, rechargeable, with red & auxiliary lights.
I can't believe how light this headlamp is - only 1oz! And the light it produces is perfect for variety of hiker needs, whether I am on a trail, at camp or in my tent - there are different modes for any situation. Switch lockout allows me to ensure the light wuold not turn accidentally and drain battery when stuffed in pack.

Small and compact with good throw great value January 5, 2018
Reviewer: CCd HcERNANDEZ from TULARE, CA cUnited States
This head light is very small and light weight. The output is okay to get you around the camp site at night. It fits the bill as a small, light night time task light. The red light is nice to have if you don't want to disturb people sleeping. The low red light was too dim for me to use unless I was sitting down and had the task in my hands close. The second (high) red is good enough to light your path if you wish.  I have not tried to get a total run time on this yet. The only cons that I have is; it doesn't have a removable battery and there is no tilt adjustment. I would recommend this light to anyone wanting a lower cost, light weight task light.

My new favorite light! January 2, 2018
Reviewer: Nadz from NY USA
The NU25 is my new "daily driver", with enough life and power to do hikes, runs, and crafting, and rechargeable.
The primary LED has great throw for trails, the high-CRI flood is perfect for DIY-tasks, and I absolutely love the bright red light for in-tent and branch-avoidance. Red has two levels- the higher is very bright.
The form-factor is great- about the size of a Zippo and seemingly weightless on the headstrap.
I like the logic: dedicated buttons for red light (lo, hi, flash) and main light (lo, med, hi. hold for turbo. hold from off for high-CRI).
Charge time was under 1.4h and consumed 2.9Wh to charge the 2.6wh(spec'd) battery.
Things to work on: the headband is kinda colorful, so no military use. A light this weight could get by with a narrower band. The little charge port cover is only good for rain, but it's on the bottom so good'nuff unless boating.
All-in-all, my cons are minimal, and I highly recommend NU25 for anything besides safety-of-life or extreme weather.

Great hiking light December 31, 2017

Great choice for a backpacking light. Extremely light for the amount of light. I will never reach for my Diamond Back light which has half the capability at 4x the weight!
