3 of 5 Great Light, Tricky Battery December 9, 2019

Just bought this light for my lady.  She loves the light but you have to remove the battery each use and directly plug a USB C cable into the battery, to charge it.  No charger included.  There is no indicator on the battery to demonstrate the capacity status.  When we leave the battery charging all day and put it in the light to use the voltage status indicator to check capacity it reads at 3.6v.,  3.5 V. is considered low battery...  The battery is supposed to be a 5000mAh capacity and it should supply 4.2 V. on a full charge.  I've used all kinds of chargers supplying low watt (20) to 90 watt quick cell phone chargers to the battery and no difference in charge status from the flashlight blinking indicator.  3 star rating due to poor charging design, no fully charged indicator or charging status, and no charger included with a 90$ flashlight.  Fix these poor design issues and the New P12 1200 Lumen LED Flashlight is easily a 5 star unit.

5 of 5 Awesome! November 23, 2019

I own several Nitecore flashlights but when I saw the specs on the New P12 I had to buy one. 3hrs 45min on high for one of these lights seems outrageous but so far I haven't seen it dim yet and I've been using it constantly for 3 days. Usually after one day of use with my old light I have to recharge the battery. I would like to see an option to upgrade the battery to the 5000mah if you choose to instead of buying it extra. But I guess now I have an excuse to buy another light that takes the 21700 battery. The New P12 is well made and I like that it can sit deeper in my pocket so I don't accidentally turn it on getting in and out of my car like my old light. The varying strobe was also a good idea for this light. If you're looking for a durable, long lasting bright light I highly recommend the New P12. No issues so far but if I encounter any I'll be sure to update this review.
