Not as good as I'd hoped |

I like Nitecore gear much more than the competition as they're solid and reliable. Unfortunately with this lantern the pin that held the diffuser on (one of the catches) flew out fortunately on a table and I reinserted it with a hemostat. If not, the catch would have been inoperable. I then powered the unit up and found that it really doesn't put out that much light. It has found a place in my travel gear when I go out of town. I have quite a few of the Nitecore lights from the very small units to some of the most powerful ones they make. Make no mistake, they're the leader outpacing the competition in so many areas, but this needs greater refinement. Nitecore needs to stick with really well-designed, highly refined devices. This one is good in concept, but should be 1000 lumens minimum and have a more solid body.
