Excellent, super light, and with great beam patterns on all 3 lights.
Two small points:
1) I am almost positive the headband goes behind the bracket not between it and the light like you instruct. Between messes with the hinge and you dont get the silicone strip against your skin.
2) My headband was a bit wonky. The big buckle faced inward. I monkeyed around and got it outward with the silicone inward, but now the logo/reflector on a section are also inward. Doesn't affect function, just my OCD. :)

Lightweight and simple. Has low settings for both the red and the white, and i can barely feel its there. Seamless shopping experience.

3 of 5 Light is good but case broke November 23, 2021
Reviewer: Jen from Philippines
I've had this for over a year now. The light itself is good. Very bright for a small headlamp and its very lightweight you won't even feel it on your head. I rarely use it, however, a piece of it that's holding the lamp to make it tilt up and down is now broken. Now I can't use it as a headlamp because the lamp is detached now from the strap because of that broken piece.

4 of 5 Nice Headlamp September 23, 2021
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from New EbglandNY United States
This is my second NU17. The other works just fine.

This is not for lighting up distant objects.
The main light is just over 100 Lumens. (By comparison, the old 60 Watt incandescent bulb is about 800 lumens.)

You won't light up a campsite but you certainly won't stumble in the dark with this.
The Floodlight is 50 Lumens High CRI and is fine for reading maps and magazines and seeing colors fairly accurately but not for extended reading of that 800 page novel.

I got it for it's Red LED Light which is brighter than on other headlamps. It saves your nightvision and doesn't disturb others.
Getting around when others are asleep, star gazing, photography, watching nearby wildlife.

4 of 5 Good Headlamp for light duty use June 19, 2020
Reviewer: Bock from Tucson, AZ United States
This is great headlamp with good features and decent battery life considering how small it is. But the plastic housing and hinge point seem a little flimsy or susceptible to breakage. Hopefully it holds up over time. But great product overall.

2 of 5 NU17 as reading light September 11, 2019
Reviewer: Neil Hamlin from Mm ME United States
I own an NU32 and discovered that it could be useful as a reading light, but would be better if brighter.  Bought this on recommendation of someone at Nitecore, but found it not useable as a reading light due to small angle when opened.  To be a good reading light, it has to open to almost 90 degrees.  This goes to 60.
