5 of 5 Flawless and awesome light January 23, 2020
Reviewer: Robert Donahue from Oakdale CA
I’ve used this light for about 2 years now. I like the feel in hand and the switches are easy to operate. Great for lighting up the yard looking for troublesome critters. Automotive use is great even in bright sunlight it illuminates the Under hood well. Under the house, in attics I like the adjustable illumination.
I took this light to South Africa on a hunting Safari and used it to track an animal in the darkness with success. It was so helpful that the Professional Hunter guide asked me to let him buy it from me. A few months later he asked me to send him another one!
It’s a great light with long battery run time. Use the Nitecore batteries as they last the longest.

3 of 5 Works well until it falls apart November 5, 2019

I'm an engineer in manufacturing. I use this flashlight on a daily basis and for the most part, I love it. But after a few months of use the four allen bolts holding the end cap with the button on it have started to come out, and two have fallen off. The thing is about to come apart and Nitecore doesn't sell those bolts, and they're nearly microscopic. If I just had replacement allen bolts this would be great but I'm about to be out a flashlight because of it.

This is a wonderful light. It is my first light with the MT-G2 emitter and the tint is a beautiful neutral white. Very easy on the eyes. Just be aware that you must have button-top cells, this light will not work with flat-top 18650's.

5 of 5 This the standard for new flashlights! January 24, 2018

I thought I would never buy a flashlight for this amount of money, but I tell you what, I am glad I did!
I was looking for a light that would put out at least 1500 lumens (out the front), use 18650 batteries versus CR123/and variants, and that had more than the usual 3 to 5 settings plus special modes.
The P36 has 10 levels of output which will ultimately allow to maximize the life of the batteries per charge. Most light of this level of power have brightness levels of very dim, dim, not bright enough, too bright, max bright. The P36 fills in all the gaps of brightness lacking in all other flashlights I have researched.
The brightness levels are controlled by a wheel which is rotated to increase and decrease brightness. After a few uses you will master the rotate brightness levels with the pinky finger.
