I thought I would never buy a flashlight for this amount of money, but I tell you what, I am glad I did! I was looking for a light that would put out at least 1500 lumens (out the front), use 18650 batteries versus CR123/and variants, and that had more than the usual 3 to 5 settings plus special modes. The P36 has 10 levels of output which will ultimately allow to maximize the life of the batteries per charge. Most light of this level of power have brightness levels of very dim, dim, not bright enough, too bright, max bright. The P36 fills in all the gaps of brightness lacking in all other flashlights I have researched. The brightness levels are controlled by a wheel which is rotated to increase and decrease brightness. After a few uses you will master the rotate brightness levels with the pinky finger.
