4 of 5 TIP CRI review November 21, 2016
Reviewer: Robby MacBlane
I got the TIP CRI silver and everything worked as expected. It did not (at least not yet) die too fast due to the lockout drain issue, so that's good. The LED seems to be the 5000K high CRI led, so don't expect a warm led. I guess I would call it neutral. But, it does make colors pop!

The one thing that's slightly disappointing is that the battery level indicator doesn't appear to be very accurate. It will show three blinks for most of the lifetime, then two blinks when it really is quite low. Shortly after two blinks you will see the occasional red flash on the buttons to say that the battery is low. But other than that, the light works great!

It charges pretty quickly. Draws about 400mA when charging.

4 of 5 Nice light but activates too easy in pocket November 10, 2016
Reviewer: Gary from Massachusetts
Powerful output for such a small package illustrates how far LED light technology has come.  The CRI versions offers a more pleasing but noticeably less intense output than the regular (I have both).  Unfortunately this will not replace the Tube as my keychain light as it just activates too easy in the pocket.  As Nitecore has now fixed the lockout parasitic current drain issue, at least you can always put the light in lockout mode.  Have not had long enough to determine if any durability issues but it appears well built and I suspect it will hold up fine.  All and all a good value for the money light and kudos to Nitecore for pushing the envelope.  The output in turbo is a sight to behold for the size of the light.
