Ordered this NL 1836R rechargeable battery when I purchased my MT2C Pro (even though the flashlight came with one). In my experience, it’s always good to have a fully charged spare battery on hand that can be swapped with the one that needs charging so you’re always ready to go. Nothing worse than needing to use your flashlight but can’t because the battery is being charged.

Being a retired LEO, I wanted an EDC flashlight that could also be used in a tactical situation if needed. Luckily Nitecore is well known in Law Enforcement so there was no need to shop anywhere else. The MT2C Pro checks all the boxes for me. Its size is ideal for EDC (not too big & bulky, & not too small), & it can be used to gain a tactical advantage against a threat because its “operational simplicity” is its strength. The pocket clip has just the right amount of grip too so it stays put in one’s pocket, yet can easily be accessed & deployed without needing great strength to do so.

1 click of the tail switch & instant blinding light is deployed. This is what I meant when I said “operational simplicity” a bit earlier in my review. And for the price, it just can’t be beat. The build quality is top shelf & I expect many years of trouble-free use from it.

The low level by the way is on par with that of a smartphone, but has way better throw so you don’t have to be right up on something to see it clearly. And it’s just as easy to access via the tail switch.

Also, ordering online was straightforward & shipping from the Nitecore Store was lightning fast too! The only thing I’d like to see this light have is a glass-break bezel. Not a deal breaker by any means, just think it’s the only thing missing from an otherwise perfect EDC flashlight.

I recently purchased two of these to be able to take on longer trips and allow for more charges plus give me a backup in case one fails. I utilized them over a course of six days of camping to charge my iPhone 16 and my watch and found them to be very effective. I was able to charge my phone from about halfway three times off of one of the power banks. The watch of course takes very little charge. So I was totally satisfied with their ability to keep my devices charged up.

A big reason I purchased them was for their lightweight and compact size which I'm extremely satisfied with. These will work much better for my backpacking trips than what I previously used.

Since I've used them on only one trip so far, I can't speak to their reliability. But so far I'm impressed with their performance and seemingly solid build and features.

I also had called customer service to request expedited service when I ordered them and found them to be very helpful and accommodating.

Amazing quality. Have had the mt2a pro for 4 years and unfortunately the flashlight have out lived the batteries but that only has to do with my job

The HA23 is a wonderful step up from the HA11 I purchased a while back, I really love the different color temperatures, and the batteries last a good bit longer too. Great job!

Its a beast!

Charger is much superior than previous older style 21700 chargers. It provides great informational in-situ detail of battery health and state of charge.

This is a great reserve battery to power my Garmin Varia rear tail light on long bicycle rides. Suggestion: sell rubber caps to seal battery when not in use (to prevent dust / dirt / water from entering).

This was a huge help during my stay in Ukraine, where I occasionally experience power outages.

The clip was invaluable, as it let me clip the light to the bill of my baseball cap when I was working on difficult-to-see places in machines, orvteason during power outages.

Very good little lights. Got one for friend, and one for my keychain. Mine has hat clip, and 4 modes, plus lock feature. Very useful for my everyday life.
