Nitecore EDC27 3000 Lumen Ultra Slim Flat EDC Flashlight

Giving 3 stars instead of 2 because it was replaced under warranty.

The primary switch failed and would leave the light permanently locked or wouldn't shut off reliably.

This little light is well built, bright as hell, and has some really nice living features. The one down side I've already found after owning it for less than a month... the lens has started melting/bubbling after using it on the 1k lumen setting for about 15 minutes straight.

I don't recall seeing any warnings in the instructions about that, but it's definitely bubbled the lens directly in front of the 2 emitters. I'm not sure if this effects the performance any, but I guess time will tell.

Had 2 , lost first one , second one was good till it wasn’t. Would not shut off so should have sent back but tried to disassemble and ruined it … my bad. But hadn’t had very long when it refused to shut off!

Impressed by this light and how well they designed it to fit in the hand. Not a fan of the double-click unlock system - please upgrade with the lock switch from the EDC33. Glass breaker on bezel would be a nice add as well. Overall a fantastic device.

I bought this light and love it! It has worked flawlessly for me. The design and concept behind it allows me comfort in EDC and convenience working in an investigations unit.

Using the light as it was designed to be carried, (utilizing the sturdy metal pocket clip), not once has it come on accidentally and that’s without even using the level 1 locking setting. By carrying the flash light as it was designed to be carried, the portion of it that protrudes from the pocket doesn’t make contact with anything to turn on.

I personally don’t want a mechanical lock because that is something else to catch lint, grime, and have to manipulate if my fine motor skills are out the door in a high stress situation.

I’m considering buying another one because of its incredible functionality. A good percentage of my coworkers are considering this light and individuals I’ve met in classes.

Carries well and packed full of features for a edc light!

I didn’t know if I would like it at first because of the shape but now, this thing pocket carries so nice oh and the lumen output is crazy bright. I would recommend picking yourself up one or maybe even two, this thing will not disappoint.

This light is amazing. Easy to use, very comfortable to carry, and a perfect addition for security work or daily EDC. I love the two lockout options. I usually use the lockout 1 option, which still allows both turbo and strobe modes. I've searched for a long time to find the perfect EDC light for my needs, and I believe I've finally found it.

Very nice size and weight. Design with all aspects of light is excellent. With 3000 lumens of turbo lighting and strobe, light would be useful in a lot of situations.

Of the slim style flashlights Nitecore is probably a better value than SureFire or Olight

I love this flashlight! This light fits perfectly in pockets and is INCREDIBLY BRIGHT!!! I have a couple of police friends that are now using this light because of the ease of use, brightness, and compact nature. Easily worth the price of the light.

What a great light, feels natural in the hand and just some really good features on it.

I bought this flashlight as a gift for my husband, and he loved it, it is very good quality, he took it to his work to show it to his co-workers and some of them decided to order one too! The bad thing and I think they should improve it in the purchasing process is that after you buy and receive the confirmation you never know what process it is in, you don't know if they have already sent your product, with which shipping company, when it arrives, nothing, I had to write to them and they gave me the tracking number and I found out that the product had already arrived and I had no idea!

This light is amazing. Super slim and fits in your pocket great. Bright when you need it, allows for different brightness has come in very handy. 10/10!

Great interface nice responsive buttons and those beautiful light emitters are bright with a wide flood action . Does not get that hot not like the EDC 33 . The battery also last a long time . Thanks Nitecore for Great light .

I really love this light. Everything is very thoughtful. The performance for the size is incredible.

Controls are intuitive, this is a light for Serious Peeps. I will say I could not in an emergency hand this to a regular person and have a good result.

For me it works

The sleek design of this flashlight is awesome. It fits very well in your pocket. You almost don't know it's even there most of the time. It's a fantastic edc light. I like the quick access to the 3000 lumens and the strobe. If anyone with bad intentions approaches me at night, I will shine 3000 lumens in their face without hesitation. Or maybe strobe them until their unwilling to approach further. Overall, it's a great flashlight!

I have recommended several friends to this company. I received my flashlight quick and love it never had one to compare to this one. Will purchase more from Nitecore!!!!

This is one of the best flashlights I’ve ever owned. I love the small LCD screen that shows the charge status and time remaining at each lumens. I only wish it were faster at turning off/on in locked modes.

light ok but as at 3000lum can be a fire hazzard if not

cooled before puting on table or pocket book

a light should be easy acces to diff light level /strobe
etc half press is not that convient

when you nee a light theres no time to fiddle with
