2 of 5 They are on to something but not there yet. March 30, 2023
Reviewer: Robert from Key West, FL
The EDC27 is an excellent flashlight and probably one of the best I have seen in a long time when it works.  When I click the button 80% of the time the light comes on, that is simply not good enough.  The flashlight also has an internal rattle when you shake it located on that very same button,  Very annoying when it rattles as you walk.  These are two serious flaws that are unacceptable.  Sending it back and hoping for a good working one.

4 of 5 Good light March 19, 2023
Reviewer: Ben from California
Good light, it does turn on easily in your pocket due to the button style but with the lockout mode you can still safely carry it. I like that there are 2 lockout modes, one is a full lockout and the other you can still use the turbo and strobe. My lense has partially melted with very minimal use and I have email nitecore already. I have only had it 3 weeks. Hopefully they are willing to fix it. It does not affect the light at this time. Being a flat light it fits well in a pocket front or back without discomfort. Battery life is decent for what I need it for which is usually very briefly as I work on an ambulance and never need it more than about 5 minutes before i can charge again if necessary. Overall it's pretty good, price point is a little high for what it does but they are proud of their new light. I would buy again if nitecore fixes my lense or sends a new light to make this right.

5 of 5 This Little Light of Mine March 13, 2023
Reviewer: William Portillo from Modesto, CA United States
I bought the EDC27 because of a review I saw in an article about every day carries. The different settings and ultra bright/strobe were a part of the reason why I got it, but the major reason was the flat rectangular shape as opposed to the cylinder lights that are standard. There is a warning sign imprinted on the light saying that a certain area gets hot, which I found out gets extremely hot. It burned a hole in one of my work pants pocket when I accidentally held the light button down while sitting. Overall, the best money I've spent on a flashlight! Would definitely recommend!

I bought 2 of these lights on a whim.  The body is sleek and beautiful and the light is super bright.   I don't think you would be able to beat the product

5 of 5 It Burns… it burns! March 8, 2023

Searing blindness what you’re looking for? I got you fam! I’ve carried many pocket/tactical small flashlights from competitors but this one takes the cake. Not the smallest in the group, but absolutely worth the inch of difference. Brighter than a Mensa convention. The strobe function is a seizure and migraine inducing monster. Replacing all of my other models with this just because! Oh, and USBC charging is so much better than weird proprietary chargers.

3 of 5 Cumbersome lock/unlock UI ruins a fantastic light March 7, 2023
Reviewer: Madman from ME United States
The flat form factor is extremely easy to carry.  3000 lumens is great, even if only in burts. What sours the experience is the lockout. Because of the high output, you should always lock the light when pocketing it. But to lock and unlock this light is way too cumbersome, for 4 reasons. The first is that you have to use just the amount of pressure to press or press and hold hold the half-press position, which ismtoo difficult. Second, you have to look at the light's display to make sure you reach level 2 lockout, or to make sure you got the half press then half-press and hold just right.  Third, it takes deliberate concentration and practice to do all of this just right--and even then you screw it up half the time. Fourth, it takes way too long to lock or unlock the light.  WHY can't it just be something like a triple-click or full press and hold to lock and unlock?  It would be among the best flashlights light ever made.

4 of 5 Great for EDC especially when compared to others February 28, 2023
Reviewer: E. CHASE from Indiana
Had to wait a good while to receive mine as it was backorderd. I own many many lights and have been told I may have a condition that needs help but that's OK. When I first seen the EDC27 I knew I had to have it as it is comparable in size and functionality to 2 other brands I'm sure you all are aware of. But having 1 of each I can tell you save your money with the other brands and buy the EDC27. Only minor complaint I have if I had to give one is the locking mode to keep from accidental button presses. I have to physically look at the Led screen on the body to turn lock on and off. This light seriously needs a locking mode and I highly recommend using it as the beast gets super hot when on turbo mode. Go ahead and get in line on the backorder and get yours today you won't be disappointed!
