The concept is crazy bright for its size. In testing the light I found the controls to be very easy to learn and operate. When I first activated turbo It didn't look like 1800 lumens. But when I took it outside I was shocked at just how much light this thing produces. Because of the wider optics you get a giant flood light, but will fail to punch beyond 200 yards. If you need distance, this light will not serve you beyond that range. Heat, well yeah it says hot for a reason, but I didn't find the heat a problem. It gets warm, but the entire body of the flashlight does a great job of dissipating the heat instead of letting it build up at the head. As for the design, I personally don't like the exterior button as it is easily activated when clipped on something without a holster. My only second grievance is the lockout method. I don't like having to twist the rear cap to lockout the light. Overall this is a solid light and I look forward to where they take future models in this series.
