5 of 5 Awesome big-brother to the EDC33 March 12, 2024
Reviewer: Chieh Lee from Pepper Pike, OH United States
I purchased this light at the same time as the EDC35, expecting to pick between the two to use as my new EDC (I'm coming off a Surefire Stiletto Pro).

I'm used to carrying larger 18650 lights, so the physical dimensions of the EDC35 doesn't bother me at all: however, for those who like a slimmer light, the bezel, at just over 1.25 inches, does make for a bit of bulk.

That said, the light is very powerful. It compares very favorably versus my Modlite PLHv2 in terms of throw, and on LuminShield, there is so much more usable light in the foreground.

While my Cloud Defensive MCH offers a variety of tail-switch protectors, none work nearly as well as the intuitive mechanical lock-out switch as seen on my EDC33 or EDC35: no more hot pockets or the need to remember to shift my light a bit (to prevent switch activation) as I get in to the driver's seat of my car or as I sit down at my workstation.

Use to buy a competing brand, going with Nitecore now. Nitecore EDC35 is great.

3 of 5 core EDC 35, not wuite there yet. February 23, 2024
Reviewer: Frank The Tank from Whitestone, NY United States
This is going to be a short review.
The good:
-The style of the body of the light lends nicely to grip the light so it doesn`t fall out of your hands.
-The LED tint is very good and has a nice hotspot with defined spill.
-The lock out switch is a great addition to the light
-The hidden charging port is also a great addition.

The BAD:
-The battery is built into the light so you can`t swap it out for another.
-The switch is a real stinker.
when you try to half press the switch, you`re just pushing down on empty rubber until the switch engages.
-Sometimes a full click doesn`t turn on the light.
Unfortunately, Nitecore doesn`t fully have this light worked out 100%
If they would have gone with the type of 2 stage nSwitch Surefire uses it would have been a grand slam.
I more than likely will be returning this light.

5 of 5 EDC35 Impresses February 21, 2024
Reviewer: Brady Campbell from VA United States
To get the potentially bad out of the way, given one's preference: the battery is not removable and the pocket clip which seems difficult to remove comes attached. Also concerning the clip the aluminum body seems abrasive against pants or whatever materials.

That said, this flashlight is seriously impressive. To quote government military personnel I've shown it to, "great day!" The body is solid and has a slightly weighty and premium feel. The rubber button is addictive to manipulate and is protected by the tail standing feature. The lock switch, oddly enough, may be the most satisfying to play with, feels so tactile. The usb c charging port is neatly protected with a twist but I haven't had to recharge this thing yet. I haven't blasted myself with it because I am afraid. I took it from my dad because he was trying to ignite papers on the table. This size to luminosity ratio is incredible, buy two.

5 of 5 Great new EDC February 18, 2024

Perfect flashlight for EDC. Battery lasts way longer than expected for the brightness and the spotlight/floodlight mode are awesome. Never got the shipping notice, it was just "here" about 3 days after I ordered it.

Just picked up the new EDC35, can't emphasize enough how sweet this light really is. A huge improvement over my last pocket light. Also, kinda cool that it came with a sheath type holder but I'm gonna have to look into getting a kydex type belt holder instead, just my preference.
So glad I came across the EDC35 review when I did. Nice to have something with me that I can rely on that also boosts that protective confidence.
Thank you Nitecore!
