3 of 5 No holster December 9, 2017
Reviewer: John Fleming from Taylorsville, KY United States
Beware, you get no holster,   some videos on YouTube show it included! But they decided to go low, and take them out.so the light is not a great or even good deal.

3 of 5 Initially temperamental but improved December 9, 2017
Reviewer: Malcolm Burns from Alamo, CA United States
First use of the unit was inconsistent, even with a full battery. The light would only activate after the unit was unscrewed, battery moved and then rescrewed. I left the unit overnight and it has been fine since (may have been too cold after collection from mailbox).

4 of 5 Super Bright November 29, 2017
Reviewer: David Thornton from Leesburg, VA United States
Light is very bright, wide dispersed field.  Have a P12 also and it is noticeably brighter.  Only buy the 8A battery, don't waste your money on the lower end batteries.

5 of 5 Great light November 29, 2017
Reviewer: Robert Ryan from TX United States
I already had 2 Nitecore flashlights when I got an email promoting the EC23 at 1800 lumens and a really good price, so I bought it.  And I an not disappointed.  The beam is a little wider than the others so it lights up more area and still has a blinding spot shining forward.  I'm a fan and you will be too.

3 of 5 Overrated Beam of Light November 27, 2017
Reviewer: John Liberatore from Roxborough , CO United States
Recently purchased the EC23 because of its capacity to generate 1800 lumens of light.  I don't see much difference between this compact flashlight and the P12 that puts out 1000 lumens.  Additionally, it operates strictly from the side button compared to the P12 which has a tail button with multiple features (e.g., intermittent light with just light pressure).  It also heats up quickly when in the "Turbo" mode, and spreads its "1800" lumens across a wide area which probably dilutes its brightness stream.  The 2 positives on this purchase were (1) how quickly it came by mail and (2) the $13.00 discount I received because of the holiday sale. Otherwise, I like my P12 much better!

4 of 5 Great brightness in a small package, just wide. October 29, 2017
Reviewer: Shawn from MD United States
I love the new EC23, I used to carry a Powertac E5 with me at 950 lumen, now I have 1800 in the same pocket size. The only issues I have are missing having a tail switch activation, and the beam is a bit wide. At distance, my old light will have a brighter beam due to the wider angle of the EC23.

3 of 5 Needs a Tail cap on/off button October 4, 2017
Reviewer: David Cole from Worcester, MA United States
I love this light, BUT I carry it in a case and the light can accidentally turn on and you don't know it because of the side mounted on/off button.  The only way to prevent it is loosening the tail cap. Which becomes cumbersome two handed turn the light on procedure every time you use it.
